Ever wonder how having a growth mindset impacts participation in STEM fields such as game design and coding? Zulama game designers met with growth mindset experts in a google hangout to find out.
The new name for this dynamic online professional development reflects the goals and outcomes of educator participation. Educators will learn how to adopt a growth mindset for themselves through reflective activities and collaboration with peers. In addition, educators are empowered with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to become agents of change in their classrooms, in turn becoming "Growth Mindset Makers" of their students. Help Mindset Works test a new growth mindset science game!
We are looking for middle schools who are interested in testing our SciSkill Quest game in their science classrooms in late April/early May of this school year, 2015-16. The game is designed to help students learn inquiry skills and concepts based on the Next Generation Science Standards. The goal of this study is to assess the impact of the game on student motivation and learning in science. If you are interested in participating, please follow this link and complete the form.
