Do you need practical strategies for integrating growth mindset into your SEL approach? Join us April 30 at 1:00 PST for a free edWebinar with practitioners and experts from the field, and learn how to seamlessly combine growth mindset with SEL and academics to teach the whole child.
Over the years, as educators around the world have worked to translate growth mindset into practice, various definitions and understandings have emerged. For some, growth mindset is part of the larger field of social and emotional learning (SEL), included within the SEL competency of self-awareness. Others view growth mindset and SEL as separate constructs. Both have been viewed as supplementary approaches that can feel like “one more thing,” taking teachers’ time away from core academic learning.
In the edWeb webinar, Mindset Works’ Dr. Kendra Coates will discuss how growth mindset is actually the foundation for ALL learning and is the catalyst to cultivating SEL attitudes & behaviors while improving academic outcomes and nurturing the whole learner. She’ll be talking with Dr. Desireé Margo, Principal of the Redmond Early Learning Center, about her school’s experiences integrating growth mindset and SEL into existing daily practices in core subject areas over the past several years.
Webinar attendees can earn continuing education credits for participating. Sign up and find out how to ignite social and emotional and academic learning with the growth mindset!
